1970 PONTIAC FIREBIRD COUPE EXTENSIVE 2-YEAR PLUS REBUILD
Strong and reliable 350 chev with new Edelbrock manifold, Holley carb, Hedman headers, new starter motor, new fuel pump, new alternator, new northern alloy radiator, new master cylinder, new brake lines, 2.5-inch exhaust system, and pro belt drive. Features a 350 V8 engine coupled to an automatic transmission. Turbo 350 gearbox with less than 500km since full rebuild. Repainted in original factory key lime green that is in excellent order and looks very impressive. Any blemishes were professionally removed and repaired with a new vinyl roof fitted as per build sheet. All new interior, including underlay, carpets, roof lining, door trims and seats console recovered. New shifters surround and correct factory depress gear knob. Dash facia hydrographer in walnut woodgrain and set with period VDO gauges, new ignition barrel, boot and door locks and keys. New windscreen, hidden immobilizer switch, all parts re-chromed and all stainless polished with new rubbers and seals as well. The car has been professionally rewired with it all being hidden giving the engine bay that clean factory looks. Wheels are factory originals refreshed with new trims and new Centre caps, new Dunlop GT sport Tyres, new Pedder's sports shocks, all new wheel's bearings, spare is in the boot and it’s the untouched item from 1970. The bonnet Tacho is a factory addition leftover from the Gen 1 Firebird optioned on the 1970 only. The car was restored to as close to the original as possible but a few tasteful mods from the era were added; such as the Trans Am flutes, formula stripes, bonnet Tacho, engine start button and interior courtesy lights. Every original part that could be used or reconditioned on the car was, the rest was ordered new from Firebird Central in the states. This car was rebuilt to be kept so it has the best of everything. Starts first time, every time and runs like a dream, a pleasure to drive around town or on the highway. Documentation has been obtained by PHS Services in the States with some interesting facts about the car, including dealer order listing all options when new. It is also accompanied by previous receipts and Rego papers from the previous owner in California. As far as my research shows this is the only key lime green Firebird in the country.
